Automobiles in German City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police stated they were alerted by a individual who found a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Around fifty cars have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Police state they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered many other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials state early analysis show the liquid was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; investigators are currently not informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

A senior political figure commented the attack rendered him without words and had to be resolved rapidly.

"This event strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist violent incident in 2020," he posted on social media, mentioning the death of nine people by a gunman aiming at people of foreign heritage in 2020.
