Loyal followers of the pop star are urging that a individual who leaped a barrier and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the following morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account features clips of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user remarked.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more message on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.
