Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes live text of Sunday's games via various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week in the football calendar , following last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being possible championship contenders, they both lost their perfect starts.

Notable in those games were the amount of infractions each committed. Philadelphia committed them at crucial times so they kind of defeated themselves after leading 17-3 going into the final quarter versus the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this weekend.

But it was positive to observe that Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome the shortfall before lead three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, to win the game by four points.

Denver boast the defensive player of the year with CB their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, whereas the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, yet the Broncos prevailed in that contest.

They had the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily sending more than four pass rushers instead they could plug two LBs in the interior before drop them out and send a slot defender off the edge.

Early on in the campaign, we said on a program that Denver could be this season's dark horses. They ended the previous year strongly then excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?

New TE their tight end has excelled big while recent RB their rusher is a guy they believe in. He now ranks 5th league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

It's impressive how head coach Sean Payton displays "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.

That shows how the Broncos are a squad that wants to prioritize the run, since you can do a lot off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in favourable down and distances.

This has helped quarterback Bo Nix, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, passing for 29 TDs – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they lack in the same way as Nix. He boasts exceptional arm talent, a unique trait, plus he's so athletic.

His strengths are his movement, the capacity to pass on the run, and finding varied release points to make the pass as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to deliver that layered pass across the middle or past defenders.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he displays great composure under pressure and isn't really fazed by the blitz. He aims to evade being tackled whenever possible and is able pass under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and remains very decisive.

When you constantly rush it consumes time and makes the opponent to be in play for longer, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the field downfield side to side. It can be exhausting.

Nix has bitten back at Payton during games at times and it seems Payton appreciates that fire, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's exciting for the coach to have a rookie QB who's kind of like play-dough. The coach can really develop him the way he wants to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach has won a championship and has passed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the success the Broncos are experiencing offensively is largely down to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the pairing with the QB helps make him into who he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they good enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're working above average, which is a good place to hold their division. All they need is is maintain this path.

They're really good at embracing their strength, that is running the ball, and that's exactly what they should do versus the Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Since the NFL started recording takeaways decades ago, this team are the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 and the Broncos are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge at leading the division.

This hinges upon which form Kansas City shows up they face since Denver {beat|def
