Netflix Casts Spot-On Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. The role has the ability to morph into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a interpretation of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the original manga and cartoon version.
This performer joins multiple fresh additions tasked with bringing the group to life, including leader the main antagonist, portrayed by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
