Ukrainian authorities have declared the start of large-scale manufacturing for an innovative domestically developed interceptor drone to enhance its air defences. The first three producers have begun manufacturing, with an additional eleven preparing to set up assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

'Octopus' Technology Tested in Combat Situations

The drones utilize a nationally created technology known as “Octopus” designed to neutralize Shahed drones. The system underwent testing in actual battle and demonstrated successful “at night, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” the ministry confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of manufacturing as many as 1,000 interceptors daily.
