Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to trainers forming strong views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one idea naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries much more akin to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of both and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Much like a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for treats. Many past Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its horn to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of gossip to those who wish to listen. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds very like a people-smart Twins.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-flame sign that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime.
